Sleep Talking
Choosing new bedding can be confusing with words such as ‘tog’ and a variety of fillings to choose from. We want you to feel that purchasing new items for your home is enjoyable, so we’ve put together some short explanations of some of the terms you might come across in the linen department.

TOG:
FILLINGS:

The Tog rating describes
the 'Thermal Resistance'
of a product and is widely
used in the UK to explain
warmth levels of duvets.

An average tog rating for a winter
duvet is 10.5 tog, and for a summer
one it’s 6 tog.

Hollowfibre:
Fibres trap more air, so your duvet
is softer, warmer and easier to re-fluff.

Goose Down:
The finest, lightest and softest filling.
Lighter than feather and feather and down

Feather and Down:
Light and soft

Polyester and Silk:
For those who prefer a warmer, snugger
duvet. Ideal for cold rooms, and for
people who are allergic to other
forms of filling.
